RYD Skateboards - How it works

 We know the art of skateboarding is a direct descendent of our first love, surfing. That’s why we love bringing that ocean feeling back onto the land in-between sessions, when its flat or when we need to stir the stoke pot up a little! So, it makes total sense that our salty tribe would have a couple of sidewalk surfers in their quiver. And from April ’21 we’ll have options to keep the dream alive from the frothing kids to stoked-out parents. 

 Our layback range will have traditional skateboard construction, finished off with a carbon bamboo veneer for strength and flex. Plus we think it looks pretty cool too. We’ve opted for our black EVA deck pad (developed from the RYD Traction range) instead of traditional grip on this one, making sure you keep your finger prints on through those rail grabs and your feet always snug on the deck. We’re surfers, what can we say! 

Our True range will feature a modern construction with a mix of birch and carbonised bamboo. The transparent grip allows the graphics and bamboo to shine through for an epic finish. And we’ve chosen three of our favourite surf spots as bottom graphics to keep you stoked and inspired for your next surf session. It’s a fun,flexible cruiserthat’ll keep a smile on your dial from the land to the sea and back.

And because we love the idea of getting the groms active from an early age, we’ve got something coming in the traditional skateboard category too. They will appreciate riding something designed for their size (two to choose from) and you’ll see their confidence will grow before your eyes.  We’ll ramp that up with another traditional model if you’re feeling up for a good old carcass toss at your local bowl,featuring a little more tech and size,giving you all the stability, pop and speed you need.  

So, no more couch surfing required between sessions or during those flat spells, we’ve got you covered for fun no matter how you roll! Landing April ’21.
